UPDATED DATE AND TIME!

Join us for a workshop designed to provide an overview on how to recruit for and successfully maintain a diverse organization with Shayla Jones. Participants will experience a hands-on approach to identifying barriers and best practices when it comes to board member, volunteer and constituent engagement.

This workshop will also utilize a trauma informed lens to better understand how to tailor the working environment to be culturally inclusive.

Learning Objectives:
- Identify how to access, select and support volunteers, staff, board and constituents. This includes best practices for recruitment and retention.
- Have an increased knowledge of the meaning of diversity, equity and inclusion through a trauma informed perspective.
- Discover biases and policies that hinder true equity and inclusion and will be able to identify best practices to overcome these barriers.
- Participants will be able to begin to identify steps to creating a strategic plan to incorporate DEI efforts into their spaces.

This is a free event open to the public!
