Peer Coordinator

The successful candidates for this Peer Coordinator position at thirty hour per week, temporary summer position will perform select workforce development services for the Erie County Summer Jobs and More Program. Position begins in May and concludes at the end of August 2022. Assists in conducting outreach to employers and students participating in the program. Provides assistance to students to help secure employment and provides assistance during student workshops. Assists in data collection, employer orientations and employer visits. Must have a flexible schedule and reliable private automobile.

Requires knowledge and skills in customer service field as normally acquired through the completion of a high school education, combined with One (1) to three (3) years of responsible work experience. Must be highly motivated with strong leadership skills and able to work in a team environment. Must be people-oriented with good human relations skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing & through graphic presentations. Requires knowledge of community resources. Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) and Microsoft Teams. The ability to operate a computer in the latest version of Windows is essential. Familiarity with Zoom, PDF editing software, as well as experience effectively working remotely are desired. Must have enough knowledge to successfully complete the technical skills of the position.

Additional requirements: Act 33, 34 & FBI Clearances. Three (3) personal references from someone who has known you for five (5) years or greater. Must meet Immigration Law requirements.

Pay range $12.16-$14.03/hr.
