Community Impact Associate

I.                    OBJECTIVE

To provide administrative support to the Foundation’s Community Impact team.

 

 

II.                  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:

 

A.   Grantmaking

  • Provides assistance to the Vice President and Assistant Director of Community Impact in their grantmaking responsibilities
  • Schedules pre-application and other meetings for Helping Today and Shaping Tomorrow
  • Prepares meeting materials
  • Participates in pre-application meetings, documents progress of each meeting and provides notes to assist in the grantmaking process as needed
  • Assists with application due diligence process as needed
  • Prepares quarterly grants index and other CI reports for community advisory committee meetings, issue briefings and trustee meetings
  • Prepares grant award/decline correspondence/agreements/forms and works with Grant Manager to ensure all paperwork is received and payments distributed in a timely manner
  • Participates in site visits, as needed
  • Establish and maintain grantmaking software expertise; provide technical assistance to applicants and grantees; responsible for training new staff, as requested
  • Monitors receipt of grant evaluation reports
  • Coordinates DonorsChoose program
  • Maintains up-to-date digital records

 

B.    Communication

  • Coordinate annual ECF grantmaking orientation, grant application Workshops, and grant receptions
  • Create presentations for Community Impact-related events

 

  C.  Hear Erie’s Youth

  • Assist in meeting preparation
  • Create content for ECF website and social media that includes updates on HEY! activities and member profiles
  • Maintain database and member paperwork

 

D.   Other Initiatives

  • Maintain relationships with grantees and organizations in the community
  • Participates in CI team meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

 

III.                INTERFACE

Internal:      Must have positive rapport with all staff members as part of the team and the Board of Trustees.

External:     Must maintain positive rapport with nonprofit partners etc.

 

IV.         QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Required: Associates degree in Communications or Office Administration or at least 5 years office administration experience; Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree and two years relevant experience

 

V.          SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Must be detail-oriented with good attention to accuracy
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must work in a timely and proficient manner
  • Must be skilled in Microsoft Office software programs
  • Must demonstrate the ability to learn new and/or specific computer programs

  General office equipment - fax, copier, phone

  Personal computer and printers

Salary range: $40,000 to $45,000
