Visitor Services & Office Manager

Job DescriptionGoodell Gardens & Homestead is currently accepting applications for Visitor Services & Office Manager.

The Visitor Services & Office Manager oversees all Visitor Services at Goodell Gardens & Homestead including, but not limited to daily visitation, Welcome Center and Gift Shop operations. The Visitor Services Coordinator also manages the membership program, donor database, and provides light administrative support including mailing preparation, and scheduling.

Pleasant demeanor with excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently required. Excellent verbal and written communication required. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of professional and volunteer staff required. Customer service, cashiering, or reception/front desk experience with an ability to handle cash, credit, and check transactions required. Experience in event planning, sales, graphic design, social media, marketing and/or fundraising a plus. Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather required. All employees of Goodell Gardens & Homestead are required to own their own foul-weather gear including a raincoat with a hood and waterproof footwear.

Must possess or be eligible for clearances: Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Report, Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Criminal History Report.

Job Title: Visitor Services & Office Manager
Status: Non-exempt, part-time, hourly position
Season: Year-round, 30 hours/week May 1-October 31, 15 hour/week November 1 – April 30
May - October Work Schedule: 10:30 am - 5:30 pm Wednesday - Sunday, some evenings as required
November - April Work Schedule: flexible
Probationary Period of 90 days from first day of work
Hourly Wage: $13.50-15.50/hour
Paid Bereavement Leave up to three days available after one month of service
Paid Holidays after one year of service
Paid Time Off = 5 days (30 hours total) of PTO after one year of service
Eligible for participation in a retirement program with contributions of up to 6% of employee’s salary matched by Goodell Gardens & Homestead after one year of service.
