Staff Attorneys

Northwestern Legal Services is seeking qualified and diverse applicants for a full-time Staff Attorney position in our Erie office, and full or part-time Staff Attorney positions in both our Meadville and Warren, PA offices. We are a Pennsylvania non-profit law-firm organization providing free legal services to low-income people with civil legal issues in the 10 northwestern counties of PA. Caseload will include domestic violence, public benefits, family law, housing, and other areas of public interest law. Some travel may be required. Extensive training will be provided. Applicants must be admitted or eligible to practice law in PA, or have plans to take or have recently passed the PA bar exam to be considered. We offer EXTENSIVE benefits and perks and emphasize a healthy work/home life balance. Potential loan repayment assistance is available for qualifying loans. Salary Range: Starting salary $60,000-$63,000; 0-3 years experience

Since 1969, Northwestern Legal Services has provided free legal services to low-income residents of 10 northwestern Pennsylvania counties: Cameron, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango, and Warren.

NWLS is a private non-profit organization that receives funding from federal, state, and local agencies as well as private donations. We also administer grants for specialized legal services and regularly engage in community outreach activities.
