Director of Clinical Services

Essential Job Duties:

  • Administers counseling program in compliance with agency and funding standards
  • Supports, directs, supervises and evaluates counseling personnel
  • Ensures clinical documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, other agencies, and the general public
  • Provides crisis intervention and supportive group and individual counseling
  • Provides court preparation and accompaniment as needed
  • Provides information and referrals for clients
  • Assesses personal, social, medical, traumatic, and emotional issues of victims of crime and significant others
  • Develops and implements treatment plans that adhere to agency guidelines
  • Maintains own accurate and thorough clinical documentation for ongoing caseload
  • Submits ChildLine reports according to state regulations
  • Provides on-call supervision
  • Represents the agency in public presentations, meetings, and media interviews
  • Assists with fundraising

Special requirements:

  • Flexibility of work hours (some evening and weekends required)
  • Able to drive and provide current proof of insurance
  • Able to obtain required state and federal clearances


  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field
  • Supervisory experience preferred; knowledge of trauma-informed supervision preferred
  • High proficiency in computer skills; versed in Microsoft Office and able to apply skills to learn agency software programs
  • Flexible; able to tolerate many situations and personalities as well as emotional stress
  • Able to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints and keep confidentiality
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form and solve problems
  • Possess good oral and communication skills for the professional setting
  • Highly organized
  • Able to sit for long periods of time
  • Possess visual and auditory acuity to interact and communicate with people over the telephone, via computer, and in person
  • Able to create, develop, and implement programs for individuals and groups


Salary range: $39,000 to $42,000
